Controlling Bleeding at Home and When to Come
For post-extraction bleeding, place clean folded gauze over the socket and press without interruption for 20-30 minutes; meanwhile do not spit, rinse or take hot drinks. If bleeding lessens but does not fully stop, or continues heavily, come to the clinic without delay. If you use blood thinners or have a health condition, be sure to tell us.
