Which treatments do you provide?
Implants, zirconia and porcelain crowns, laminate veneers, root canal treatment, extractions and oral surgery, orthodontics (fixed braces and clear aligners), paediatric dentistry, gum treatment, dentures, fillings, whitening, scaling and 24/7 emergency dental care are all provided under one roof. Each treatment has its own page explaining how it is done, how many visits it takes and what recovery is like.

How do I know which treatment I need?
Rather than guessing from symptoms, the decision is made after an examination and radiographs. The same symptom can have different causes: brief sensitivity to cold may come from decay or from gum recession. At the first visit the mouth is examined, a panoramic radiograph is taken if needed, and the options are explained side by side.

How is a treatment plan prepared?
After the examination and imaging, urgent work is listed first and definitive solutions second. Pain and infection are always addressed first. Decay, gum problems and missing teeth are then planned. The plan is given in writing, stating how many visits each step takes and how long the intervals are.

If I need several treatments, which comes first?
The order follows medical necessity. Infection and pain come first. Gum health comes next, because a prosthesis or implant placed on inflamed gums will not last. Fillings follow, and aesthetic and prosthetic work comes last. Skipping this order causes problems soon after.

Can you help me compare treatment options?
Yes. For a missing tooth, the duration, effect on neighbouring teeth, maintenance and lifespan of an implant, a bridge and a partial denture are each explained separately. The decision is the patient's; the dentist's job is to set out the options and their consequences in full. Taking time to think it over is normal.

Why are treatment prices not shown on the site?
Publishing prices for health services is restricted by regulation, so no figures appear on the site. The same treatment also varies from person to person: how many teeth, which material and whether extra procedures are needed only becomes clear after an examination. A written plan with cost information is given to you afterwards.

Can I come without an appointment?
In an emergency, yes — the clinic is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and you are seen without an appointment for pain, swelling, bleeding or a broken tooth. For planned treatment, calling first helps: the dentist, the chair and the time needed are reserved for you and you do not wait.

Will I feel pain during treatment?
Procedures are carried out under local anaesthetic and no pain is expected once it takes effect; you may feel pressure and vibration. A surface numbing gel is applied before the injection itself. If you are uncomfortable during the procedure, raising your hand is enough for us to pause.

I am afraid of the dentist — what can I do?
Saying so at the first visit is the most important step. When the fear is known, visits are kept short, each step is explained in advance, a signal to pause is agreed, and the first appointment is often just an examination and getting to know each other. Dental anxiety is common, and postponing treatment only makes the problem larger.

How many visits does a treatment take?
Fillings and scaling usually finish in one visit. Root canal treatment takes one or two, depending on the tooth. Crowns and veneers usually take two or three visits including impressions and try-in. Implant surgery is a single visit, but several months pass while the bone integrates. The exact number is given after an examination.

I am coming from another city — can treatment be completed quickly?
Yes — when we know you are travelling, the plan is built around it. Several procedures can be combined in one day, impression and try-in appointments can be scheduled back to back, and laboratory time can be brought forward. If you call before setting out, we can tell you how many days to allow.

I am coming from abroad for treatment — how does it work?
You are first asked to share your existing radiographs and your complaint, from which a preliminary assessment and an estimated schedule are prepared. On arrival in İstanbul you are examined, new imaging is taken if needed and the plan is finalised. Because the clinic is open 24/7, an appointment can be arranged whatever your flight time.

Do you provide service in English?
Yes. The site is published in full in both Turkish and English, English is spoken at the clinic, and the treatment plan and informed consent documents are provided in English on request. Documents needed for follow-up after you return home can also be prepared in both languages.

What examinations are done before treatment?
An intraoral examination and, in most cases, a panoramic radiograph are standard. For single-tooth problems a periapical radiograph is taken. For implants and impacted-tooth surgery a three-dimensional scan may be requested. Your medications, past operations and allergies are also recorded.

Do I need to tell you about my medication?
Yes, without fail. Blood thinners affect bleeding time, bone-density medicines affect jaw healing, and some blood-pressure and diabetes medicines affect anaesthesia and recovery. Bringing the boxes or the prescription is the most reliable approach. Treating you without this information puts you at risk.

Can I have dental treatment while pregnant?
You can; postponing all dental treatment during pregnancy is usually wrong, because gum inflammation increases in pregnancy. The second trimester is the most suitable period. In an emergency, treatment is given whatever the stage. Always tell us that you are pregnant and how many weeks along you are; imaging and medication are chosen accordingly.

I am diabetic — can I have treatment?
Yes, but we need to know how well controlled your blood sugar is. In uncontrolled diabetes, wounds heal slowly and infection risk rises; in that case control is improved with your physician first. In controlled diabetes most treatments, including implants, are carried out safely. Appointment times are arranged around your meals and medication.

I have a heart condition — do I need antibiotic prophylaxis?
For some prosthetic heart valves, previous infective endocarditis and certain congenital heart conditions, a single dose of antibiotic before the procedure is advised. The decision depends on your cardiologist's report and the procedure planned; it is not needed for every heart patient. Please bring documents about your heart condition.

How soon can I go back to work after treatment?
After fillings, cleaning and root canal treatment you can return the same day; only avoid hot drinks and chewing until the numbness wears off. After surgery, rest on the first day and avoid heavy work and exercise. Facial swelling is possible, so plan the appointment around any important meeting.

Do I have to come back for a check-up?
Yes — the check-up is part of the treatment. Whether a filling is comfortable in the bite, whether a root-treated tooth has settled, whether an implant has integrated and whether a prosthesis fits can only be judged at a review. Skipping it lets a problem that one adjustment would fix grow larger.

Is the treatment guaranteed?
Promising an outcome is contrary to regulation in dentistry; no dentist can guarantee healing. However, the manufacturer's documentation for the materials used, the records of the procedure and the review schedule are given to you in writing. What really determines the outcome is oral hygiene, smoking and attending reviews.

Can you complete treatment started at another clinic?
In most cases, yes. What has been done is first established: which tooth, which procedure, which material. Bringing your earlier radiographs and treatment records speeds this up. Sometimes redoing the work is more appropriate than completing it; that assessment is explained to you with its reasons.

I want a second opinion — can you examine me?
Yes — seeking a second opinion is the patient's right and is sensible for large treatment plans. The assessment is made from your existing plan, radiographs and any written proposal. The aim is not to judge the previous dentist but to review with you whether the proposed work is necessary and what the alternatives are.

At what age should my child first be examined?
The first examination is recommended after the first tooth appears and by the first birthday at the latest. The purpose is not treatment but assessing decay risk, establishing brushing habits and letting the child get used to the clinic without fear. Children introduced early cope far better with later treatment.

Should decay in baby teeth be treated?
Yes. The 'it will fall out anyway' approach is wrong. A decayed baby tooth causes pain, can affect the permanent tooth bud beneath it, and if lost early lets neighbouring teeth drift so there is no room for the permanent tooth; chewing and nutrition also suffer. Fillings, root treatment and space maintainers can all be used on baby teeth.

Does scaling wear the teeth down?
No. Scaling separates calculus from the enamel with ultrasonic tips; the enamel itself is not cut. The temporary sensitivity felt afterwards comes from tooth surface that the calculus had been covering, and usually settles within a few days. Leaving calculus in place, by contrast, leads to gum recession and bone loss.

Does whitening damage the teeth?
When carried out under a dentist's supervision with an appropriate gel concentration and gum protection, no lasting damage to the enamel is expected. Sensitivity lasting a few days afterwards is normal. The risk comes mainly from unregulated internet products and ready-made trays used at home. Decay and gum problems must be treated before whitening.

What happens if I do not replace a missing tooth?
Neighbouring teeth gradually tip into the gap, the opposing tooth over-erupts and the bite is disturbed. Chewing shifts to one side and the jaw joint may become strained. The jawbone where the tooth was removed also begins to resorb because it is no longer loaded, which makes a later implant more difficult.

I smoke — will it affect my treatment?
It does. Smoking slows wound healing, speeds the progression of gum disease and markedly increases the risk of implant failure. Every day without smoking before and after surgery helps healing. Treatment is not refused, but the risk is explained clearly and reviews are scheduled more frequently.

Can I obtain my treatment records and radiographs?
Yes. Your treatment records and images belong to you and a copy is provided on written request. Radiographs can be shared digitally. These documents are needed if you see another dentist, seek a second opinion or continue care in another city, and keeping them is in your interest.
