A dental implant is a titanium screw placed in the jawbone to replace a missing tooth, mimicking the natural tooth root. Once it fuses with the bone, the crown or bridge placed on top is almost indistinguishable from a natural tooth in appearance and chewing function. 01 Is implant treatment painful?

No. The surgery is done under local anaesthesia; you feel no pain during it, and the mild tenderness afterward is easily managed with painkillers.

02 How long does an implant last?

With good oral hygiene and regular check-ups, an implant can last for decades, often a lifetime; the crown on top can be renewed over time.

03 Can implants be placed in every patient?

If there is enough jawbone and general health is suitable, yes. If bone volume is insufficient, grafting can still make an implant possible; we assess this at the examination.

04 What should I watch for after an implant?

In the first days avoid hard and hot foods, follow the recommended oral care and do not smoke; these directly affect osseointegration.

05 How many sessions does treatment take?

Surgery is usually a single session; 2–4 months are allowed for bone fusion, after which the permanent crown is placed.
