What kind of images are in the gallery?

The gallery shows the clinic environment, the equipment and layout in use, and before-and-after cases for which patient consent was obtained. The aim is to let you see the setting and the way we work before you visit. All images belong to the clinic; no stock images or images from other institutions are used.

Is patient consent obtained for before-and-after images?

Yes. No image is published without the patient's written consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time; on request your image is removed from the site. Identifiable facial areas appear only where the patient has given separate consent for that.

Will I get the same result I see here?

No, no such promise can be made. Every mouth is different: gum health, bone structure, the bite, the condition of existing teeth and oral hygiene all affect the outcome directly. The images show what is possible, not what will happen to you. A realistic expectation for your case can only be discussed after an examination.

Are the images edited?

Beyond colour and light balance, no manipulation is applied; tooth colour, tooth shape and gum appearance are not altered digitally. Before and after photographs are taken at the same angle and in the same light wherever possible, because a change of angle alone can make a result look different from what it is.

How much time passes between the before and after images?

The interval depends on the procedure. For composite fillings and whitening it is the same day; for crowns and veneers a few weeks; for implants several months, because bone integration has to be awaited. In orthodontics it is measured in months. Each case notes which treatment was carried out.

Can I see my own treatment in the gallery?

Only if you have given written consent. If you have not, your treatment images remain in your patient file and are not published. If you did consent and later change your mind, the image is removed once you tell us through our contact channels.

Why does seeing the clinic environment matter?

The sterilisation arrangements, the equipment in use and the state of the surgeries are the visible part of treatment quality. For patients travelling from another city or from abroad in particular, seeing the setting beforehand makes the decision easier. For anxious patients, arriving somewhere already familiar also reduces tension.

How is sterilisation carried out?

All instruments passing between patients are packed and sterilised in an autoclave, and the pack is opened only in front of you. Single-use items are renewed for each patient and unit surfaces are disinfected between patients. Sterilisation records are kept and can be shown to you if you wish to see them.

Which implant and material brands do you use?

The implant systems, ceramics and composite materials used are shown in the brands section. Which system will be used for you is stated in writing in your treatment plan, and the documentation for the material is provided on request. These documents matter if you later continue care with another dentist.

Are the images dated?

The before-and-after cases state which treatment was carried out. Photographs of the clinic itself are renewed as the layout changes; images showing old equipment or an old arrangement are not left on the site, so what you see matches what you find.

Do you have video content?

Yes — there are videos introducing the clinic and explaining treatment processes. They are made particularly for patients who are anxious and want to know how a procedure goes; knowing what to expect noticeably reduces tension.

Can I share the images on my own social media?

The images on the site belong to the clinic and to the patients concerned; copying them and using them elsewhere without permission is not appropriate. If you would like to share images of your own treatment, simply let us know and the files will be provided to you.

Can I show the dentist a case I like?

Certainly, and it helps. Describing an expectation in words can be difficult; talking through an image clarifies what you want and what is possible in your own mouth. The dentist will explain, with reasons, how far that result is achievable for you.

How is tooth shade chosen?

The shade is determined with a standard shade guide under lighting close to daylight. It is not decided from a screen or photograph alone, because lighting and display settings make colours look different. Your facial features, skin tone and the colour of the neighbouring teeth are also taken into account.

Can I see the result before smile design?

In many cases, yes. A temporary model made from an impression, or a digital preview, lets you assess the expected result before the procedure. This stage is the most reliable way to see whether the expectation matches reality and prevents later dissatisfaction.

Why are some faces not shown?

Where the patient's consent is limited to the mouth area, the face is not shown. Under data protection requirements, an image is published only within the scope of the consent given. This does not prevent you from judging the work; intraoral photographs show the result clearly in any case.

What imaging equipment does the clinic have?

There is panoramic radiography and periapical radiography for single teeth; three-dimensional imaging is used for implants and impacted-tooth surgery. Digital systems use a low radiation dose and the image can be assessed immediately, which makes it easier to decide within a single visit.

What if I do not want photographs taken during treatment?

That is no problem at all. Images taken as part of the treatment record stay in your patient file; publishing them requires separate consent, and you are always free to decline. Declining has no effect whatsoever on your treatment.

Which treatments do the gallery cases cover?

There are examples of implants, zirconia and porcelain crowns, laminate veneers, composite bonding, whitening, orthodontics and dentures. Each case notes which treatment it belongs to, and the relevant treatment page explains in detail how the procedure is carried out.

Do I need to register to view the images?

No. All content on the site can be viewed without registration and free of charge. Personal details are needed only when you request an appointment, and then only so that we can reply to you.

Why do images load slowly on mobile?

Images are served in modern compressed formats and are not loaded until they come into view. Even so, loading can take longer on a slow connection. Page text opens independently of the images, so you do not need to wait for them to reach the information.

Are there images taken outside the clinic?

No. Every clinic image on the site is of our own clinic. No images showing another institution's premises, taken from stock sources or artificially generated are used; what you see is what you will find when you arrive.

What information is given with the before-and-after cases?

The treatment carried out is stated, along with how many visits it took where relevant. The patient's name, age and any other identifying information are not shared. Price information does not appear, in line with regulation.

Why might the same treatment take longer for me?

The factors that determine duration vary from person to person: gum health, the amount of bone, whether extractions are needed, whether there is a bite problem and how quickly you heal. Work requiring the laboratory also adds delivery time. A schedule specific to you is given after the examination.

What happens if I am not happy with the result?

First we discuss where the result differs from what you expected. For crowns and veneers the try-in stage exists precisely for this; shape, colour and bite can be changed before fitting. Fit problems appearing after fitting are adjusted at a review appointment.

Can you carry out the treatment I see in the images for me too?

Whether it can be done depends on the state of your mouth. Laminate veneers, for instance, need sufficient enamel thickness and implants need sufficient bone. After examination and imaging, which options are possible for you and the outcome of each are explained in detail.

How often is the gallery updated?

New cases are added as patient consent is obtained, and photographs of the clinic are renewed as the layout changes. Images of patients who withdraw their consent are removed on request.

How many dentists work at the clinic?

The team structure and the dentists' areas of expertise are set out on the about page. Because the clinic is open 24/7 there is a dentist available at night and at weekends, so you are not kept waiting when you attend as an emergency.

What should I look for when reviewing the images?

Look not only at tooth colour but at gum health, the proportions of the teeth to one another and how the smile line suits the face. Extremely white teeth all of identical size do not look natural. Good work is work that does not announce itself.

Who holds the copyright in the images?

All rights in the images on the site belong to Özel İstanbul Diş Kliniği. Copying, altering or using them elsewhere without permission is unlawful. For usage requests, please write to us through our contact channels.
